Because of this environmental crisis, the EPA has said that 6 out of 10 homes in the nation has toxic indoor air. USA Today, "Toxic Air in America's Schools"

December 08, 2008, the USA Today national newpaper listed Illinois, first, as having the most toxic schools in America and Ohio, second. In candid conversations with USA Today Journalist, Blake Morrison and one of the founding editors, Dr. Barbara Reynolds, (now President of Reynolds News Agency), Presidential Commissioner, Dr. Rhoda Zione Alale, Founder of The MiChi Health EpiCenter and 2008 Recipient of the Congressional Order of Merit Award shared her heralding story of the radiation poisoning of her and her family that almost killed her and put her son, a student at a High School just north of Cincinnati, (which was listed in the report) in the hospital for almost a year with alterations of his brain theta wave from sustain exposure to nuclear waste. She explained that they had moved from Washington, DC to Ohio and unknowingly purchased a home that was in an area that the New York Times called,"The Mini-Hiroshima" because of converging greenhouse gas, industrial acids, particular matter, and nuclear waste of both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. The radiation levels in their home alone was 3,000% what human beings should be exposed to. She shared about the high incidents of autism in her neighborhood too from this diabolical environmental crisis. She thanked Blake for his BOLDNESS and COURAGE to inform parents and schools to take ACTION for the HOPE of a future for the young and Dr. Reynolds for taking her story forward to national TV, radio and print sources to help others. Now, a Board Certified Health Physicist, she directs a medical team of doctors, nurses, and engineers in the analysis, measurement assessment, and mitigation interventions for schools that are mandated to make environmental adaptations for compliance with JARED'S Law for safe indoor air and radiation levels for kids.

Just on the eve of a Court's landmark decision to award a Houston Public School District a $25 million judgement against the a Texas based Lighting & Power company to protect elementary school children from exposure to high levels of electromagnetic fields (EMF) or non-ionizing radiation from powerlines, the research team of Dr. George Carlo, PhD, JD linked the cause of autism to overexposure to electromagnetic field radiation coming from cell phones, masts, wireless, etc. The Jared's Law, in many states, is now challenged, to direct schools to measure and mitigate radation from both ionizing (Radon) in the airspace which can cause cancer as well as non-ionizing (EMF) from airspaces, school buses, computers, wireless technologies, energized machinery in shop laboratories, copy and fax machines, intercoms, school radio stations and phone systems that can cause alterations is a student's behavior, emotions, neuromuscular system, and learning. And, let's not forget the teachers that care for them. They are at risk too. Just prolonged exposure to non-ionizing radiation can cause heart failure and "stiff" muscles. They are getting sick too with dementia, fibromyalgia, Parkinson's Disease, diabetes, cancer, & lung disease. With the World Health Organization rendering ICD 9 & 10 codes to direct physicians in the diagnoses of "Electric Hypersensitivity and multiple chemical sensitivities"; OSHA mandating that Employers provide Employee with personal protective gear; and USA TODAY reporting that the air quality around almost every school, in some states, exposes students and school faculty to cancer causing chemical acids in addition to the radiation, Public Health Agencies predict a massive outcry from parents to request that Physicians write prescriptions for protective bio-shield personal wear for students and employees who use computers and energized machinery at school as well as the installation of venting technologies to remove greenhouse gases, industrial chemicals, and radiation from classrooms and office areas. Students and Faculty that are exposed to WIFI 5 hours a day for 5 days a week, have been exposed to high levels of non-ionizing radiation that is equal to 1600 x-rays of ionizing radiation per week. . . Schools across Europe are banding wireless in schools. Will schools in America follow? Thirty six Governor's and Mayors signed Proclamations to promote May 2009 as "Electro Magnetic Sensitivity and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Awareness Month" . . . The MiChi Heath EpiCenter of MU at University Central offers health physicist training and certification for Doctors and Nurses to screen, evaluate and treat patient with risks for radiation poisoning from prolonged EMF exposure.

Ohio's Jared'a Law Mandates Safe Indoor Environments for Schools

Every school in Ohio is effected by this Law. With USA Today newspaper and the EPA reporting that Ohio has the largest number of schools in toxic air and radiation in America, second only to Illinois, schools across the state are getting Health Physics interventions to evaluate and mitigate ( vent or filter) indoor environments. The EPA also launched an initiative called C.A.R.E., Community Action for Renewed Environments to lower air and radiation toxins.

OSHA Mandates Protective Gear for School Employees

With the development of medical diagnostic ICD 9 & 10 codes for "Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity" and "Multiple Chemical Sensitivities" by the World Health Organization (WHO), the medical community in the USA is shifting to develop protocols for environmental medicine training for patient care management for staff and clients. Schools may face a barage of employees with doctors notes to request protective gear to shield their exposure to non-ionizing radiation from energized machinery such as computers, laptops, copies machines, telephones, cell phones, etc. which this OSHA ruling makes provisions for. Thirty six Governors and Mayors across America proclaimed MAY 2009 as Electromagnetic Sensitivity and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity month. Bill 117, in the Ohio Legislation, proposes to make this an annual event because of the serious environmental health crisis in the state. PEOPLE'S Magazine, April 13, 2009 ( page 82), posts a CLASS ACTION SUIT NOTIFICATION against all Manufacturers of "Bluetooth" technologies. Owners of these technologies are encourage to contact interested parties. Schools may advise their employees of such civil intent also.

In Al Gore's movie, the "Inconvenient Truth", he talks candidly about global warming from greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gas in composed of five gases: carbon dioxide, ozone, argone, methyl and bethyline. Although he dialogues about the concentration of "carbon dioxide" because it is warming the earth, the American Lung Association is collecting data on the ozone because of its direct assault on lung tissue and ability to take away the "very breath of life."

So many children are suffering with asthma and lymphatic diseases from the convergence of ozone greenhouse gas with industrial acids, particular matter, ionizing radiation ( RADON ) and non-ionizing radiation.
